The President’s Award is Ireland’s National Challenge Award for young people and is the country’s most prestigious and respected individual award programme. It is a challenge from the President of Ireland to the young people of Ireland.

Gaisce’s mission is to contribute to the development of young people through the achievement of personal challenges.

There are three separate awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold with the level of personal effort increasing as participants move towards Gold.

 Each award requires participants to Plan, Prepare and Undertake an Adventure Journey. This Adventure Journey can involve either Walking or Cycling.
